# Status Change Form

A **Status Change Form** records a change to an employee's designation, employment conditions, or pay/allowance components - a promotion, a change from Fixed Term to Indefinite, or an allowance adjustment - as a formal, dated document rather than a silent edit to the Employee record.

## What it captures

Each changeable item is recorded as a **current** / **new** pair: **Designation**, **Conditions** (Fixed Term / Project / Indefinite), and rate/allowance fields for travel, housing, safety, shift, phone, and opencast allowances - whichever apply. Leave the ones that aren't changing at their current value. An **Effective Date** and a free-text **Reason** complete the record.

## Notifications

Both creation alerts and the weekly digest for Status Change Form are **deliberately unfiltered** - sent to every configured recipient regardless of Designation or Branch Limits, unlike the disciplinary/incapacity/poor-performance workflow (see **Weekly Notifications & Reports**). This is a different kind of document - a routine HR administrative change, not a sensitive case.
